There are only a few 7 star hotels in the world and 2 of them are here in Dubai. Dubai the once must see destination of many travelers, remains a tourist attraction. The Burg Khalifa is now the tallest building in the world with spectacular 360' views of the surrounding area.

The big airlines are after more direct sales this year, there are campaigns under way to cut down the amount of tickets sold through travel sites like Travelocity and Expedia. Travel 2011 With this in mine travelers will need to do more extensive research when trying to find the most economical prices for travel in 2011. Luisa and I traveled to Istanbul, Turkey in late November. This would trip was planned late and we were on a budget since the Christmas holiday was fast approaching. We searches for a nice hotel in the center of town not far from the public transportation system. Istanbul have a very easy to understand transit system. Our goal for this trip was to be laid back and see a few of the attractions as Luisa had been to Istanbul the previous fall with friends from Dubai. The accommodations we selected were small but nice, the Asmali hotel a 10 minute walk from the Blue Mosque. The rates were around $250 for 6 nights.
